Hey folks,

I have good news and mixed news. The good news is that I finished typing up and doing the first round of editing for a book I've been writing since 2014 (although the idea and first dozen pages date from my teen years). I still have a long way to go but if everything goes well it should be done by February 2017. The next was that I received two rejection letters one from Hiveworks and the other from 2000 AD. I don't really consider that bad news, it's just part of the process. In the case of Hiveworks I went against around 800 submissions and didn't make it, but the letter was very positive and asked that I apply again next year which I will and hopefully if we can increase the quality and updates we will have a greater chance of making it. The other is even better as I wasn't expecting any kind of reply at all, but I got one. So all in all everything is pretty good and we will keep soldiering on.

This may be the last big author note for a while, but we'll see. I can be a bit of a blabbermouth at times.

Wow, that ink-job. Well you've got my attention now. Great use of markers.

I just realized that that man has a mechanical hand, which is cool.
Otherwise, I just hope that you keep updating.

Yep we'll keep at it. The old concept art will be making one final appearance before moving to the other site then everything shall be all new.

Wow...good to see this 'back', even though some of it wasn't here before ( which reminds me of a tag line to a time-travel cop movie, whose title totally escapes me ),,,,and that it is still "updating every Wednesday" ! B-) O.K. 1: it's great to see a comic that is totally disorganised and visibly so, forall us readers - not like mine, which is SO like that, unti it hits fury, where it is all neat and chronological, even though pages and panels are created all over the place, timewise. 2:It's good that I've been "off the stuff" for years,as I already often feel like I'm living in the Matrix,or some kind of Bizzaro world and need desperately to hang onto my sanity, and reading this using the << < > >> facility is not sanity-inducing at all, especially reading the dates on the comments,, and ooh, look, I'm in there too, I must have done that comment next year, maybe? and 3: DO keep this thing going! Maybe one day I'll be able to read it right through, in sequence! B-)

....and of course, since Sparta is in a mist, outside the normal passage of space an time and its realities, it all makes perfect sense to be all out of order !

yeeeah that's the reason ;-p. Yeah just three more pages to wrap up Chapter One then this comic should no longer have these crazy time travel dynamics.
